Awarding- winning Kenyan artist David Mathenge, popularly known as Nameless will celebrate 25 years in the music industry with a concert schedules for August 15th, at Carnivore grounds, Nairobi.
He said, he is excited to share his music journey after a long wait from his fans as many have been asking him to mark his milestone in the industry. As one of the pioneers of Kenya’s modern Afro-pop sound, Nameless began his career in the late 1990s while still a university student.
His breakthrough came from a released song in the 1990’s “Mega Rider” a track that became the cultural phenomenal and prospered him to be famous national. Over the years he continued to dominate with songs such as,” Nasinzia” and “Boomba Train.”
He later did collaborated with artist Khaligraph Jones on a remix “Mega Rider” and Tanzanian star Marioo on “Nasinzia II.”
“Millennials, this one is especially for you! Make a plan! And come sing your own lyrics,” Nameless said.
Nameless married his fellow musician Wahu, with their relationship captivating many fans making their love story documented by Eugene Mbugua “This Love”, not only in music, Nameless has made a social impact with Wahu in partnership on Switch On/ Read On to promote literacy and encourage young generation to read.
The August concert is expected to feature a rich catalogue of his music spanning over two decades, bringing together fans from different generations.
