Eric Omondi recently paid an emotional visit to the grave of his late brother Fred Omondi. Fred lost his life in a tragic hit-and-run accident on Kangundo Road on June 15, 2024.
Eric took time to visit his brother during his long trek from Nairobi to Busia to raise funds for the Sisi Kwa Sisi campaign that aims to support vulnerable Kenyans.
He took a detour just before reaching Busia to visit the family land where his brother was laid to rest. He braved the tough weather conditions, using a motorcycle amid the heavy rainfall pounding different parts of the country.
In the emotional video shared on social media, the comedian reflected on life without his brother with the solemn tune of See You Again by Charlie Puth playing in the background.
“So my home is literally 10 Minutes to Busia town. Last evening I stopped by to pay homage to a LEGEND before we got to Busia,” read part of the caption
The video also contained throwback photos of the brothers. Fellow celebrities led by Carol Radull, MC Jessy, 2Mbili and Nicki BigFish commented on the post to console Eric.
Eric later completed the walk to Busia, making it second long trek completion after he recently did the Nairobi-Mombasa route.
