Deputy President Kithure Kindiki is very sure that the broad-based government will win another term at the 2027 General Election, referring to the government’s achievements as the basis of its re, election move.
While in Suba Constituency, Homa Bay County for a youth empowerment exercise at Gwasi, the Deputy President pointed out that the governments performance over the last three years not only speaks of the ruling partys commitment but also its drive to implement development projects in every part of the country.
Kindiki remarked that the governments track record is its own witness, He added that the numerous multi, billion, shilling developments under construction are a proof that no area is being left out.
He commended the leaders allied to Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) for standing firm within the broad, based coalition even when internally some party members were calling for a review of the political arrangement in the lead, up to the elections.
The Deputy President also took the opportunity to mention the key infrastructural developments which the national government is implementing in the area, such as the building of the Mfangano Ring Road. He considered these projects to be the kinds of activities that would drive the economy and also enhance connectivity.
The second in command also paid a visit to the KSh150 million Nyandiwa Fish Landing Site construction project in Homa Bay County. He said that when the facility is ready, local fishermen in Lake Victoria will be able to get modern services such as fish coolers and better fish handling infrastructure to lower the post-harvest losses.
Nyandiwa is one of many fish landing sites which are being redeveloped at Lake Victoria under the government’s comprehensive strategy to grow the blue economy and uplift fishing community livelihoods.
Kindiki reassured the residents that the inclusive government is very much focused on fair development and giving the youth and marginalized communities the necessary power to become self, reliant anywhere in the country.
