Isaac Mwaura Government Spokesperson

Kenyans looking for work overseas have been advised to be extra careful in the light of the recent surge of people being conned by fake recruitment companies. Some of the victims have even been deployed to the RussiaUkraine war scenario.

Addressing the press in Nairobi, government spokesperson Dr. Isaac Mwaura said that the government remains committed to weed out cartels in the recruitment chain to ensure the safety of all Kenyans.

His remarks come as more families continue to mourn and seek government assistance in repatriating the bodies of their kin whose lives have been lost in search of opportunities abroad.

“The government is not silent on this issue. We are actively pursuing the rogue agencies, and there are already several ones that have been removed from operation. Kenyans should be very careful about where they look for jobs, Mwaura said.”

As they await the repatriation of the bodies of their loved ones for burial, the government is calling for extra vigilance among job seekers.
