Kingdom Bank has expanded its national footprint with the opening of its 27th branch in Embu Town, strengthening its presence in Kenya’s agricultural heartland.

The new branch, located at Njue Plaza along the Embu–Nairobi Highway, is strategically positioned within Embu’s busy commercial district, making banking services more accessible to farmers, traders and small business owners.

Speaking during the opening, Kingdom Bank Managing Director Anthony Mburu said the new outlet brings banking closer to where economic activity happens and positions the bank as a reliable partner to agribusinesses, MSMEs and households.

“Embu represents the strength of Kenya’s agricultural and cooperative economy. It is a region defined by hardworking farmers, entrepreneurs and key institutions who play a critical role in food security, regional trade and public services,” Mburu said.

He noted that the branch will offer a full range of retail and business banking services, including personal and business loans and digital banking solutions, to individuals, farmers, MSMEs, cooperatives and corporate clients in Embu and neighbouring counties.

The branch will focus on agribusiness financing for Embu’s coffee, tea, macadamia, horticulture and dairy sectors, as well as asset financing for tractors and farm equipment to boost productivity.

Mburu added that organised groups, traders and women-led enterprises will also be supported, with women benefiting from Faidi Dada and customised group lending products designed to improve access to credit and expand their businesses.

He said Kingdom Bank remains keen to leverage its deep experience as a niche bank for MSMEs and agricultural enterprises across Kenya.
