President William Ruto on Saturday met members of the Siaya County Assembly at the Eldoret State Lodge in Uasin Gishu County, where discussions focused on aligning national and county development programmes to accelerate growth in the lakeside county.

The meeting, led by Siaya County Assembly Speaker George Owino Okode, explored ways of harmonising development priorities while making strategic investments aimed at unlocking Siaya’s economic potential.

According to the President, the talks also centred on speeding up the implementation of ongoing projects and fast-tracking planned initiatives to ensure tangible benefits for residents.

“We agreed on the need to accelerate projects that are underway and fast-track planned initiatives, ensuring that development delivers real impact for the people,” President Ruto said in a statement.

The engagement comes amid the government’s broader push to strengthen collaboration between the national and county governments, with a focus on improving service delivery and ensuring that development spending translates into measurable outcomes at the grassroots.

The President reiterated the administration’s commitment to supporting county-led development agendas through targeted investments and closer coordination with local leadership.
