Tomorrow Kenya Premier League side Nairobi United will play against Etoile of Tunisia in the return leg of the CAF Confederations Cup second round qualifier as the Nairobi-based club is eager to confirm their place in the group stage of the inter-club tournament.
It was in Nairobi that Nairobi United scored a remarkable 2-0 victory in the first leg and they are anticipated to employ a conservative strategy in Tunisia so as not to lose their lead and at the same time guarantee a draw.
The team’s technical bench has therefore stressed the necessity of discipline and concentration in defense when facing the highly skilled North African side.
On the other hand, Kenya Police FC, another Kenyan club, have fallen out of the CAF Champions League after they were beaten 3-1 by Al Hilal of Sudan in their second preliminary round, second leg encounter.
Al Hilal, who won the first leg 1-0 in Nairobi, thus went through on 4-1 aggregate after sealing their victory at home. Sunday Adetunji scored two goals to lead Al Hilal while Ahmed M’bracek was on target once. Erick Zakayo scored the lone goal for Kenya Police in the 53rd minute.
The group stages of the two CAF continental competitions will be held in the next month.
