Dr. Zipporah Nyaguthii Gitonga has been selected among the inaugural FAO 100 Women Heroes in Agrifood Systems and Rural Development, earning global recognition for her contribution to agriculture and rural development.
Gitonga was selected from more than 600 nominations submitted across 131 countries, standing out for her leadership, innovation and measurable impact in strengthening agrifood systems and improving rural livelihoods.
