Kenya’s national men’s football team, the Harambee Stars, concluded their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign with a 3-0 loss to Ivory Coast in Abidjan on Tuesday night.

The win secured Ivory Coast a place at next year’s World Cup, set to be hosted across the USA, Canada, and Mexico.

Senegal also sealed qualification after a dominant 3-0 victory over Mauritania, while South Africa booked their ticket with a convincing 3-0 win against Rwanda.

Among the notable absentees from direct qualification are African heavyweights Nigeria and Cameroon.
