In the build-up to the return leg of the second round of the 2026 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers, Kenya’s U20 women’s national soccer team players, Sheryl Triza and Emily Moranga, have shown a lot of confidence.

The match will take place at the Ulinzi Complex in Nairobi on Sunday. The Rising Starlets, who are eager to make their way to the third round with the aid of home advantage, will be there to greet them.

Triza, who plays right-back, together with Moranga, who is a forward, gave the team’s resolve a big shout, saying that they have the go-ahead to convert their chances and bring home an aggregate victory. “We get the task that is ahead of us and are committed to doing exactly that,” were the words that characterized the pair’s thoughts.

The two sides battled out an equalizer, 1-1, in their first-leg fixture last Sunday at the Abebe Bikila Stadium in Addis Ababa. Consequently, both nations are setting up a must-win scenario for each other. Should the Rising Starlets secure victory, it would mean a draw in the third-round tie against whichever of the Angola and Tanzania clash winners.

After the third round, eight teams will qualify for the fourth and last round of qualifiers. At this stage, the first four teams will gain direct entry to the 12th edition of the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup, to be held in Poland from September 2 to 27, 2026.
