President William Ruto has emphasized the importance of collaboration between the Church and the State in advancing Kenya’s social and economic wellbeing.

Speaking on Thursday during celebrations to mark the 50th anniversary of the Evangelical Association of Kenya (EAK) at CITAM, Karen, Nairobi, the Head of State said faith institutions remain vital partners in shaping a nation anchored on values.

“The Church and the State, though distinct, have always worked together to uplift the social and economic wellbeing of our people. Faith provides the moral compass of our nation, guiding us towards a society grounded in integrity and unity of purpose,” said President Ruto.

He assured religious leaders of the government’s continued partnership, noting that their wisdom and counsel are crucial in building a nation founded on justice, compassion, and hope.

The Evangelical Association of Kenya brings together churches and Christian organizations from across the country and has been at the forefront of promoting evangelism, social action, and national cohesion since its establishment in 1975.
