The Social Health Authority (SHA) has shortlisted 38 people to compete for four senior director jobs. The positions were advertised on July 29 and drew nearly 500 applications.
In a notice issued on September 2, SHA said it received 494 applications before the August 19 deadline, but only 38 were successful. The rest, 456 applicants, did not make it to the shortlist.
The four posts up for grabs are: Director of Provider and Beneficiary Management, Director of Benefits and Claims Management, Director of Corporate Services, and Director of Funds and Finance Management.
Interviews will be held on September 9 and 10 at SHA’s headquarters in Nairobi.
For the Director of Provider and Beneficiary Management, 10 candidates are set to be interviewed on September 9. The list includes Hazel Jerrutai Koitaba, James Leiro Letangule and Dr. Diana Marioni.
Another 10 candidates have been shortlisted for Director of Benefits and Claims Management, among them Solomon Omaria, Kandie Ng’ochot and Tizrah Tracey John. Their interviews will take place on September 10.
Nine people will face the panel for the Director of Corporate Services post, including Jackline Leitch, Mohamed Alio Ibrahim and Phyllis Nyakiba. The Director of Funds and Finance Management post has also attracted nine contenders, such as Peter Mutui, Osma Hassan Ibrahim and Caren Awour Oduor.
All shortlisted applicants have been told to arrive at least 30 minutes before their interviews and to carry original documents, including their ID, academic and professional certificates, as well as clearance letters from HELB, KRA, CRB, DCI and the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission.
SHA has also opened the door for the public to submit any negative information they may have about the shortlisted candidates.
“Members of the public are invited to provide any adverse information relating to any of the shortlisted applicants,” said Dr. Abdi Mohamed, chair of the SHA board.
