A section of women legislators has criticized Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Secretary General Edwin Sifuna over his recent remarks suggesting the party could support President William Ruto in the 2027 General Election.
The legislators cautioned Sifuna to respect former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s decision to work with the Kenya Kwanza Administration.
Speaking at Mukhuyu primary school in Nambale, Busia County, during phase three of the Busia women empowerment forum, the legislators, led by Caroline Ngelechei, Catherine Omanyo, Rael Kasiwai, and Mary Emase told Orange Democratic Movement Secretary General Edwin Sifuna to end what they termed as side-shows and be loyal to the party leadership.
They urged the residents of Busia County not to be deceived by leaders championing for alliances with no meaningful development agenda.
