England forward Marcus Rashford made his first appearance for Barcelona in a pre-season friendly against Japanese side Vissel Kobe, playing 33 minutes in the second half.

Rashford, who joined the Spanish champions on a season-long loan from Manchester United, was introduced at half-time as part of 11 changes made by head coach Hansi Flick.

The 27-year-old is reportedly set for a permanent move next summer, with a transfer fee of £30.3 million being discussed.

Barcelona opened the scoring in the 33rd minute through defender Eric Garcia, before Taisei Miyashiro equalised for the hosts just before the break.

Swedish striker Roony Bardghji — a summer arrival from FC Copenhagen — restored Barcelona’s lead in the second half.

The win was sealed in the 87th minute when 17-year-old Dro Fernandez netted Barca’s third goal.

The match had initially been called off earlier in the week due to what Barcelona described as “serious contractual breaches” by the promoter. However, the issues were resolved in time for the fixture to proceed as planned.
