Kenya Prisons’ Loice Chemining continued her dominant run in 2025 after she won the Athletics Kena (AK) National Championships in Nairobi.
Chemining clocked 31:39.09 in the women’s 10,000m, ahead of Kenya Defence Forces’ (KDF) Cintia Chepngeno who clocked 32:22.44.
Rebecca Mwangi, also of Kenya Prisons finished third, timing 32:22.85.
It was Chemining’s third win of the year, having began with victory at the Kenya Prisons Cross Country Championships in January, during which she clocked 33:09 in the senior women’s 10km.
In March she won the Malaga Half Marathon, clocking 1:05:46 before victory at the Bangsaen 10km road race in Thailand in May.
