Ruto highlighted the importance of forming a broad-based government. Over the past month, he has engaged extensively with leaders from both public and private sectors to build an inclusive, bipartisan administration aimed at fostering rapid economic and national transformation.

“This moment in our nation’s history calls for a united effort,” Ruto emphasized. “We are forming a government that includes former rivals to harness our collective expertise and drive significant progress.”

The President reflected on the historical challenges of factional and sectarian competition that have hindered Kenya’s potential.

He expressed confidence that the new Cabinet, which includes individuals from diverse political backgrounds, will overcome these divisions.

“Our potential as a nation has often been undermined by political competition,” Ruto said. “This is a moment where national interest surpasses individual or political agendas. By bringing together various experts and leaders, we aim to unlock the full potential of Kenya.”

Ruto reiterated his commitment to servant leadership, stating that the new government must prioritize the needs of the Kenyan people above all else.

He praised the leaders and citizens who participated in the consultations, highlighting their commitment to placing Kenya’s needs before personal or partisan interests.

“The spirit of bipartisan dialogue has historically united us during critical times,” Ruto noted. “This spirit is essential for advancing our national interests and achieving a more inclusive and equitable society.”

The swearing-in ceremony saw 19 new Cabinet Secretaries take their oaths of office, marking the beginning of a new chapter in Kenya’s governance and economic strategy.
