Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo, alongside the National Security Multi-agency Team, has assured Kenyans of comprehensive measures to ensure safety and security during the festive season.

Speaking during a media briefing at Harambee House, PS Omollo outlined the government’s preparedness to handle the increased activity and movement characteristic of the holiday period.

To maintain order and protect citizens, the government has bolstered security patrols in major towns, transport hubs, and tourist destinations.

Traffic officers have been deployed nationwide to enforce road safety regulations and manage the expected surge in travel.

Recognizing the importance of community involvement, PS Omollo highlighted strengthened partnerships with community policing groups to enhance intelligence sharing and rapid response to potential threats.

In response to the growing reliance on digital platforms during the festive season, cybersecurity measures have been heightened to safeguard online financial transactions and digital interactions.

“Our rapid response units are on high alert, ready to address any security concerns. We are committed to ensuring a peaceful and secure festive season for all Kenyans,” stated PS Omollo.
