Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has announced that City Hall Way will be temporarily closed for three days, from March 17 to March 20, 2025. The closure will affect traffic between City Hall Way Roundabout and Parliament Roundabout to facilitate preparations for the WRC Safari Rally.
According to a statement released on March 15, the closure will begin at 8:00 PM on March 17 and end at 3:00 PM on March 20. This action is aimed at preparing the area for the opening ceremony of the WRC Safari Rally.
Motorists who regularly use the affected route are encouraged to plan their trips in advance and consider alternative routes. Authorities have also asked drivers to cooperate with police officers and traffic marshals who will be stationed along the roads to ensure smooth traffic flow during the closure.
“Please plan your journey ahead of time, use alternate routes, and work with police and traffic marshals to help maintain traffic order,” the statement concluded.
