Former Kitui governor Charity Ngilu has poked fun at the fallout between President William Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua.
Notably, the two top leaders no longer see eye to eye and plans to remove Gachagua from office are at an advanced stage, having already been impeached in the National Assembly.
Speaking on Monday, Ngilu made fun of the fallout, saying it is barely two years since Ruto and Gachagua publicly ‘married’.
"They got married, right in front of our eyes and the marriage is yet to last two years. One sleeps on one side of the bed and the other sleeps on the other side of the bed. This is definitely a fake marriage," said Ngilu amid laughs from the audience.
Ngilu went on to say that Ruto is now looking for another partner (deputy president), while Gachagua has turned to people to save him from being removed from the plum position.
