The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has intensified grassroots engagement in Western Kenya as the party begins preparations for the upcoming electoral process.
Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, Musalia Mudavadi, led a meeting with UDA aspirants drawn from across the Western Kenya region.
The aspirants formally declared their interest in contesting various elective positions on the UDA ticket, signalling growing political activity within the region ahead of the elections.
The party said the engagement forms part of its efforts to prepare prospective candidates as it rolls out its election timelines and strengthens its structures at the grassroots.
Mudavadi was accompanied by UDA National Vice Chairperson Kelvin Lunani and the party’s Director of Women Affairs, Training and Civic Education, Margaret Ndanyi.
The meeting focused on preparing the aspirants for the electoral process while strengthening coordination and engagement within the party.
UDA has increasingly placed emphasis on grassroots mobilisation as political parties begin positioning themselves ahead of the next electoral cycle.
