Tusker FC has made a bold move by signing Ivorian winger Aboubacar Doumbia ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The 25-year-old joins Tusker from the Saudi Pro League, bringing with him a wealth of experience from Saudi Arabia, Cyprus and Israel.
The Ivorian winger adds his international exposure and tactical that could prove decisive in Kenya’s Premier League battles. Before moving to Saudi Arabia, Doumbia was featured Karmiotissa in Cyprus and represented an Israeli club, where he established himself as a pacey and versatile right winger.
The new signing will boost the team as it aims to reclaim dominance in local football while making strides in continental competitions.in 2019, Doumbia represented Ivory Coast at the Africa U-23 Cup of Nations before featuring the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
He becomes Tusker’s third person joining the team, following the arrivals of former Kenya Police FC assistant captain Abud Omar and Nigerian striker Victor Mbaoma, who joined from Nigerian champions Remo Stars.
Tusker is gearing up for demanding seasons that will see compete in the FKF Premier League, represent Kenya at the CECAFA Kagame Cup in Rwanda and campaign in the CAF Confederation Cup.
