Tracy Nabukeera, the reigning Miss Tanzania 2023, has officially withdrawn from participating in the upcoming Miss World pageant, scheduled to take place in India this May.

In a deeply personal message shared with her fans and followers, Tracy revealed that the decision stemmed from what she described as a lack of support and communication from the team responsible for preparing her for the international stage.

“This has been a difficult decision,” Tracy expressed, “but I’ve chosen to step back from Miss World 2025. Without the necessary backing, clear guidance, or the preparation I expected from the organizing body, I no longer feel in a position to represent my country with the confidence and strength the platform demands.”

Despite stepping away from the global event, Tracy remains proud of her national crown. She emphasised her ongoing commitment to making a difference, especially through her initiative, Step by Step, which focuses on creating meaningful change in communities.

“This choice comes from a place of self-respect and responsibility,” she continued. “Holding a national title should come with full support to help you shine on the world stage. While I won’t be at Miss World, my purpose hasn’t changed. I’m still Miss Tanzania 2023, and I’ll keep using my platform to inspire, empower, and uplift others.”

Her decision has sparked mixed reactions online, but many have praised her for her courage and honesty. Tracy ends her statement with gratitude: “Thank you to everyone who’s stood by me. Your kindness and belief mean everything
