Kenyan artist Sofiya Nzau has joined American star Chloe Bailey and UK Afro-fusion artist Skyla Tylaa and Deepa team in a collaboration that is already being hailed as one of the most exciting cross-continental music projects 2026.
The single track titled “Makuhia,” is set to be unveiled on August 28, 2026, and blends Sofiya’ Kikuyu vocals with Bailey’s soulful R&B and Tylaa’s Afro-fusion energy. The song is a celebration of diversity in sound and storytelling.
Sofiya Nzau’s collaboration is more than just a feature; it is a statement on a global stage, with her already established as an international voice through her global hit “Mwaki” alongside Brazilian DJ Zerb. In the collaboration “Makuhia,” she will continue to represent East African vocal artistry.
Chloe Bailey will add her R&B lyrics and vocal range, making the song interesting and redefined with a versatile performance style that blends with Amapiano sound. She also launched her solo career “Have Mercy.”
Skyla Tylaa has established herself in Caribbean- influenced rhythms with South African Amapiano, with her working as a producer and behind the decks helped popularize African club genres across international festival stages.
