Bonfire Adventures CEO Simon Kabu has scored a legal win in a defamation case against his ex-wife, Sarah Mtalii, after the High Court issued a gag order restraining her from publishing or sharing any defamatory content about him.
The court also issued a temporary injunction stopping Sarah from circulating a disputed internal company memo dated December 2024.
The order extends to her associates, barring them from using social media to speak against Kabu.
Sarah has been directed to delete all defamatory posts and publish a formal apology on the same platforms where the content initially appeared.
The judge ruled that Simon Kabu had demonstrated a risk of serious reputational harm, with his legal team saying the decision upholds the constitutional right to dignity and protection from defamation.
The ruling is the latest development in a long and public fallout between the former couple, whose relationship once symbolised business success and family unity before unraveling in the public eye over the last few years.
