Kenya’s entertainment world is in shock and grief after the sudden death of Shalkido, a former member of Sailors Gang under the Gengetone group. The tragic news was confirmed by his close friend and group member, Peter Miracle Baby, on social media with a tear-jerking post that read, “Guys, Shalkido ametuacha. His dad confirmed it to me.” ????????
According to reports, Shalkido got involved in a motorbike accident on Monday night on Thika Road. He was rushed to the Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital (KUTRRH), where hospital officials battled to save his life. Unfortunately, he succumbed to severe injuries, which included head injuries and internal bleeding, at around 6:30 PM.
Eyewitnesses say the accident occurred when his motorbike collided with another vehicle. The collision left him in bad shape, and medical treatment was unable to stop his condition from rapidly worsening.
Shalkido’s passing has left his fans, friends, and fellow artists stunned. Miracle Baby, visibly shaken, declared that he is going to visit the family to pay his respects and show them support during this difficult time.
Renowned for hits such as Wamlambez and Pekejeng, Shalkido was part of the harvest that transformed Kenya’s urban music scene. His premature death is a sour loss to the Gengetone movement and the Kenyan entertainment industry as a whole.
May his soul rest in peace forever, and may his family and fans find strength in the legacy he left.
