President William Ruto has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to ending divisive politics while pledging massive investments in housing, infrastructure, and social amenities across Murang’a County.

Speaking at State House, Nairobi, during a meeting with grassroots leaders from Murang’a, Ruto said Kenya has no space for leaders who thrive on tribalism and retrogressive politics.

“There is no longer any room in Kenya for tribalistic and retrogressive politics that enrich a few at the expense of the many. We are charting a new course; one of bold, visionary leadership that transforms lives and unites our nation,” the president stated.

He highlighted a series of government-funded projects, noting that Sh23 billion has been allocated for the construction of 10,300 affordable houses, Sh3.5 billion to upgrade roads, Sh2.3 billion for 23 modern markets, and Sh3 billion for new student hostels.

To boost entrepreneurship and inclusive growth, Ruto said more than 10,000 households in Murang’a will be connected to electricity by December under an Sh850 million electrification programme.

Additionally, the government will build two modern stadiums at a cost of Sh1.5 billion and implement a Sh2.4 billion clean water project to serve Kangema, Mathioya, Kiharu, and Kandara constituencies.

The president said the projects are proof of his administration’s focus on transformative leadership that delivers tangible results to citizens.
