President William Ruto is set to tour Lamu and Tana River counties today as part of his ongoing visit to the coastal region.

During the visit, the Head of State will make stops in Lamu West, Bura, and Galole constituencies, where he is expected to inspect and launch various development projects aimed at boosting the local economy.

Key among the activities lined up is the inspection of the ongoing gravity irrigation project in Bura, a major initiative aimed at enhancing agricultural productivity in the region.

Additionally, Ruto will oversee the progress of affordable housing projects and launch an off-grid solar power initiative in Lamu West, a move geared towards expanding access to electricity in remote areas.

The tour comes as the government intensifies efforts to implement key infrastructure and economic projects across the country, with a focus on improving livelihoods and fostering regional development.
