President William Ruto is expected to traverse Thika and Juja constituencies to commission key development projects in the area.

Juja MP George Koimburi, who recently shifted allegiance to the government side, framed the visit as a turning point for the constituency, linking his political move to the acceleration of stalled and new projects.

He noted that the commissioning of Witeithie Market and the upgrading of the Kimbo-Matangi Road signal a renewed focus on grassroots development, particularly in fast-growing urban centres.

“This is about ensuring our people feel the impact of government through better roads, markets and opportunities,” Koimburi said during a TV interview.

In Thika, area MP Alice Ng’ang’a outlined an ambitious lineup of launches, including the Kimuchu Sports Academy, Gatuanyaga and Ngoingwa markets, and the NTSA Inspection Centre.

The President is also set to commission affordable housing units in UTI and a new police divisional headquarters.

Ruto’s visit comes weeks after his appearance at a church service in Ruiru, where he urged leaders to shift focus from political contests to service delivery—remarks that now contrast with the heightened political symbolism surrounding his return.
