President William Ruto has congratulated Gor Mahia players and officials following their club’s triumph in the 2025/2026 SportPesa Premier League season, securing a record, extending 22nd league championship.
On his official Twitter account, the President sent out a tweet acknowledging the achievement, and recalling his visit to the Gor Mahia training grounds during the last election to thank the players for giving the fans and supporters a beautiful and extraordinary season.
Ruto praised the clubforquest tahe title as a display of the constraints required, hard work, loosening of attitude, and collective goodwill shown by the team during the entire campaign.
In the message, he pointed out the club’s attraction to many football fans in Kenya and highlighting its drive and influence on young athletes to adopt, persist with their endeavors, and have a desire for betterment.
To the players and technical staff, management, and the club’s loyal supporters, the President extended his appreciation for their dedication that has once again seen K’Ogalo lead Kenyan football.” he said

He further stated that the league championship isn’t only a moment of joy for the club and its fans but an important point of reference for the advancement and furtherance of Kenyan football.
While the champions are getting ready to represent Kenya in the CAF Champions League, the Head of State reassured that the club will be carried on the wings of success, making the nation proud in the continental arena.
“As you prepare to represent our nation in the CAF Champions League, carry with you the pride and goodwill of all Kenyans. We are confident that you will continue to fly our flag high and showcase the talent, determination, and fighting spirit that define our country.”
