The Association of National Government Administrators of Kenya (ANGAK) marked a major milestone this week as it celebrated its 9th Anniversary and held its Annual General Meeting (AGM), bringing together over 300 serving and retired Regional, County, and Deputy County Commissioners from across the country.

Presiding over the occasion as Patron of ANGAK,PS Raymond Omollo had the distinct honour of guiding the proceedings of the distinguished national body, which has remained steadfast in uniting National Government Administrative Officers (NGAOs) under a shared vision of professional excellence and public service.

The event served as a vital platform for reflection on ANGAK’s remarkable journey, achievements, and the challenges ahead.

More importantly, it reaffirmed the collective commitment to the welfare and professional development of NGAOs—both those in active service and those in retirement.

During the deliberations, members engaged on critical issues affecting the NGAO fraternity, ranging from institutional support and service conditions to strategies for safeguarding the dignity and well-being of officers who operate at the very heart of government coordination, peacebuilding, and public service delivery.

In his keynote address, Principal Secretary for Internal Security and National Administration, Dr. Raymond Omollo, underscored the urgent need for leadership in restoring discipline and civic responsibility across all levels of society.

“A culture of disorder is spreading across the country — in schools, offices, and beyond. It’s our responsibility to restore order, starting with ourselves,” he stated, challenging officers to lead by example in fostering structure and accountability.

The AGM concluded with a strong recommitment to ANGAK’s foundational principles integrity, service, and unity—and a renewed pledge to ensure that every National Government Administrative Officer continues to receive the recognition, support, and respect they deserve, both during and beyond their years of service.

As ANGAK steps into its 10th year, the fraternity remains a beacon of stability and coordination in public service, and a powerful voice for national cohesion and administrative excellence.
