Prime Cabinet Secretary, H.E. Musalia Mudavadi, has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families who lost their loved ones in the tragic accident at Iguhu Bridge along the Kisumu-Kakamega Highway.
The accident, which occurred earlier this week, claimed several lives and left many others injured.
In a statement released today, H.E. Mudavadi mourned the loss and extended his sympathies to the affected families, offering his prayers during this difficult time.
“I join in mourning with the families who have tragically lost their loved ones in the unfortunate accident at Iguhu Bridge,” said the Prime Cabinet Secretary. “In this time of profound grief, may the Lord grant them comfort and strength.”
Mudavadi also conveyed his wishes for the swift and full recovery of those injured in the accident, emphasizing the importance of safety on the roads, especially as the festive season approaches.
“To those who have been injured, I send my heartfelt wishes for a swift and full recovery. As we approach the festive season, I urge all road users to exercise extra caution and vigilance to ensure the safety of all,” he added.
The accident has sparked concerns about road safety, particularly during the holiday season when traffic volumes increase.
The government has called for a review of safety measures along the Kisumu-Kakamega Highway and other major roads, urging both drivers and pedestrians to be more aware of potential hazards.
