Kenya and Morocco have taken steps to strengthen ties in culture and women empowerment after signing new agreements
The agreements were signed during a meeting attended by Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi and Morocco’s Foreign Affairs Minister Nasser Bourita
One of the areas Kenya and Morocco will work together on is culture. The cooperation is likely to involve the exchange of ideas, experiences and expertise with a lot of emphasis put on artistic practices as a means of boosting the creative sector.
The deal is also expected to help people from both countries learn more about each other’s culture, lifestyle and creativity
On gender equality, the two countries also agreed to work together to improve opportunities for women. They also agreed to share ideas on how to improve women’s access to development opportunities.
The two countries said they will also learn from past experiences to help support women in different sectors.
The agreements show both countries want to strengthen their ties while working together on issues that directly affect their people, especially culture and women empowerment.
