Mathira constituency MP aspirant Githinji Tropical has lauded the courage and determination of two Kenyans who cycled from Eldoret to Nyeri to demonstrate their support for the DCP Party and its leader Rigathi Gachagua.
In a statement posted on his social media pages, Tropical said, “Today at Wamunyoro, I had the honor, on behalf of our leader H.E. Rigathi Gachagua, of receiving two determined patriots, Leonard Kiprono from Elgeyo Marakwet and Stanley Kimeli from Uasin Gishu, who cycled all the way from Eldoret to Nyeri.”
He described their journey as a clear message from Kenyans who feel the country is not headed in the right direction.
“Their bold journey speaks volumes. They represent countless Kenyans who strongly feel that our country is not headed in the right direction and who are ready to stand up and be counted. They came not just with words, but with action, to affirm their unwavering support for H.E. Rigathi and our DCP Party as we continue on this noble mission of rescuing and rebuilding our nation.”
Tropical further emphasized the civic significance of the act: “Their courageous step also strengthens and emboldens the freedom of expression and the freedom of association as enshrined in our Constitution. These are rights we must safeguard and exercise responsibly as we shape the future of our country.” he said.
Githinji is expected to battle it out with incumbent member of Parliament Eric Wamumbi who recently fall out with former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua.
