Veteran coach Robert Matano has been appointed as the head coach of KCB Football Club ahead of the 2025/2026 FKF Premier League season, replacing Patrick Odhiambo.
Matano who has been instrumental in nurturing a number of Kenyan internationals returns to the country after a short spell in Tanzania, bringing with him a remarkable legacy of success.
During his unveiling ceremony in Nairobi, Matano said KCB FC which wrapped up the 2024/25 season in ninth place with 42 points has immense potential, a strong backing, and a clear vision for the future.
“I am here to win, to compete, and to build a team that reflects the strength and ambition of the KCB brand,” Matano said.
The club patron Azu Ogolla said Matano’s experience will be vital in achieving their ultimate goal of winning a title.
