Lawyer Makau Mutua has cautioned the Central Kenya residents against following former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s political advice.
Gachagua, who has fashioned himself as the Mt Kenya de facto kingpin, has been holding consultative meetings with local leaders to give the region direction ahead of the 2027 polls.
Taking to X, Mutua asked the Central region electorate to ignore Gachagua like plague claiming he would lead them into darkness.
"To my GEMA cousins — please ignore disgraced Rigathi Gachagua like the plague that he is. The man is a political neanderthal who will lead you “unto death and darkness.” You are fellow Kenyans. Don’t blindly follow a splitist, a believer/practitioner of tribal appartheid," said Mutua.It is worth noting that since falling out with President William Ruto, Gachagua has been de-campaigning the president, vowing to create an alliance to remove him from office in the upcoming elections.
