Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service Felix Koskei has assured residents that stalled development projects in the North Eastern region will soon be completed, following improvements in security.
Speaking after attending a Sunday service at AIC Marsabit Township Church, Koskei highlighted that contractors are now able to resume work on pending projects that had previously been halted due to insecurity challenges.
Koskei, who is on a two-day working tour of Marsabit County, emphasized the government’s commitment to boosting infrastructure in the region to enhance service delivery. He noted that the ongoing improvements will also facilitate essential programs such as the mass registration of National Identity cards.
“We are seeing tremendous progress in security, which is a critical enabler for development. With improved conditions, contractors can now return to sites and complete the projects that our people have been waiting for,” he said.
The Head of Public Service reiterated the government’s dedication to ensuring that all regions, including historically marginalized areas like Marsabit and the wider North Eastern region, benefit from national development efforts.
