Kilifi Governor Gideon Mung’aro has been thrown into mourning following the death of his father, Gideon Baya Mung’aro Senior.
The Mung’aro Senior, a retired Gede Location Senior Chief, passed away at the Kilifi County Referral Hospital in Kilifi Town on Sunday, June 15, 2025 at the age of 89.
Taking to social media, the governor regretted that his father died on Father’s Day.
"It’s a deeply painful moment, but I’m truly grateful for the love, support, and prayers from family, friends, and all who’ve reached out. Your kindness is helping us through this difficult time. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart," said Governor Mung’aroHis body is being preserved at the Kilifi County Hospital Funeral Home.
