Kenya, Morocco

Kenyan students could soon get more chances to study abroad after Kenya signed a new education deal with Morocco.

Education CS Julius Migos Ogamba signed the agreement with Morocco’s Foreign Affairs Minister Nasser Bourita during a meeting held in Nairobi on April 9.

The deal will open up opportunities for scholarships, student exchange, internships and joint research between schools in Kenya and Morocco.

Ogamba said the agreement will help young people get better training and skills through learning from each other.

“This deal will help in areas like scholarships and sharing knowledge between the two countries,” he said.

In his comments, Bourita indicated that this partnership was an indication of the close relationship that exists between Kenya and Morocco and their readiness to cooperate.

Both parties are also considering future collaboration geared towards growth and development.

It was further agreed by leaders from both nations that they needed to act quickly and ensure implementation of the plans.

This is just one of the many agreements made between the two nations aimed at cooperation between the two. During this meeting, other partnerships were also signed by the two nations in areas such as health, agriculture, sports, and culture among others.

Over the past few months, Kenya has been trying to form more educational partnerships for the benefit of the country.
