Kenya and Ghana have reaffirmed their deep and historic diplomatic ties as Ghana’s High Commissioner to Kenya, Damptey Bediako Asare, completed his tour of duty.
The two nations enjoy a longstanding relationship dating back to the pre-independence era and the partnership of their founding fathers. Over the years, the ties have been strengthened through five reciprocal State visits, enhanced air connectivity via Kenya Airways, and advanced plans to establish Accra as the airline’s hub in West Africa.
Bilateral cooperation spans trade and investment, tourism, education, and science and technology, supported by various memoranda of understanding.
In bidding farewell to the outgoing envoy, Kenyan leaders lauded his role in deepening relations and wished him success in his next national assignment.
