The Kenya Forest Service (KFS) has honoured three officers retiring from public service in recognition of their dedication and contributions to the forestry sector.

The retirement farewell ceremony was held at Amani Gardens in Karura Forest, Nairobi, in honour of Madam Lucy Kiboi, Madam Anastasia Muasya and Mr. Francis Kariuki as they concluded their careers at the Service.

The event was attended by KFS Board Member Dr. George Muthike and Chief Conservator of Forests Alex Lemarkoko, alongside senior officers, staff members and family members of the retirees.

The ceremony provided an opportunity for colleagues and relatives to reflect on the officers’ professional journeys, celebrate their achievements and recognise their contributions to the institution.

Speaking during the event, Lemarkoko commended the three retirees for their dedication, professionalism and commitment to advancing the Kenya Forest Service mandate.

The participation of family members added to the occasion, recognising the support and sacrifices that accompany years of public service.

KFS noted that the three officers leave behind valuable experience, institutional knowledge and a legacy of service that will continue to inspire their colleagues.

The Service congratulated Kiboi, Muasya and Kariuki on their retirement and wished them good health, happiness and fulfilment as they embark on a new chapter of their lives.

The farewell ceremony highlighted the importance of recognising public servants for their contributions to institutional development and the continued advancement of Kenya’s forestry sector.
