Kenya Airways has cancelled its KQ003 flight from New York to Nairobi after severe weather disrupted operations at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK).

In a customer update, the national carrier said that inclement weather conditions in New York has impacted airport activities forcing them to cancelled to safeguard the safety and comfort of passengers and crew.

That’s why, it wasn’t possible for the flight to proceed per the initial plans.

KQ stated that the aircraft would be able to fly only when weather allows, when all safety and regulatory requirements are complied with, and necessary air traffic control clearance has been obtained.

The airline apologizes for causing trouble to its passengers and assures them that they’ll continue giving timely information about the status of the flight.

The carrier said that the well-being of its passengers, crew members, and flights is its first concern while working to restore operations to normal.
