The 2025 edition of the Rhino Charge has received a significant boost after Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL) announced a Ksh. 3 million sponsorship ahead of the iconic off-road motorsport event, set to take place on May 31 in Baringo County.
This marks the fifth straight year of partnership between KBL and the Rhino Ark Charitable Trust, with the funds going toward conservation of Kenya’s vital mountain ecosystems and water towers.
As part of the sponsorship, KBL will support three standout teams: the Charging Hippos (Car No. 25), led by paraplegic driver Sam Jethwa; the all-ladies Bush Babes team (Car No. 19); and the adventurous Geco Tribe Chargers (Car No. 46). The support includes financial backing and logistical aid.
“At KBL, we believe collective action is essential for driving lasting change,” said White Cap Brand Manager Wema Mugofwa. “Our ongoing partnership with the Rhino Charge allows us to support one of Kenya’s most iconic and impactful motorsport events while advancing the urgent cause of environmental conservation.”
Last year’s Rhino Charge raised a record Ksh. 325.8 million, supporting fencing and habitat protection in regions like Mt. Kenya, the Aberdares, and Kakamega Forest.
This year’s edition is expected to draw 65 teams from across Kenya and beyond, featuring crowd favorites and past champions in a high-octane blend of motorsport and conservation.
