Tanzanian influencer and fashion model Karen Bujulu has finally spoken out about her breakup with singer Juma Jux, setting the record straight on speculation surrounding their split. In a bold and heartfelt statement, Karen dismissed ongoing rumours that she had been unfaithful during the relationship, revealing instead that she was the one who was repeatedly hurt.
“I was the one who got cheated on,” she revealed. “I stayed too long, forgave too many times, and when I couldn’t take it anymore, I walked away.”
The couple’s rocky relationship had long been the subject of public attention, particularly after a viral moment when Jux was seen kissing Kenyan socialite Huddah Monroe during a promotional event for one of his music videos. Although Jux insisted that the kiss was part of a marketing stunt and denied any romantic involvement with Huddah, the incident raised questions about the state of his relationship with Karen.
Juma Jux, whose real name is Juma Mussa Mkambala, later confirmed that the two had broken up months prior, suggesting that the split had nothing to do with outside relationships. However, he acknowledged that trust had become a major issue, and although he gave Karen full access to his phone and passwords in an attempt to rebuild the relationship, things eventually fell apart.
According to Karen, she had reached a breaking point after constantly giving second chances. Her decision to leave, she says, was not made lightly but was necessary for her emotional well-being.
