Kenyan DJ and media personality Jimmy Gait is reportedly undergoing treatment after being attacked by unknown thugs in Nairobi, as per a social media post that has left fans and followers worried.
The disturbing news was first shared by DJ Mo Kenya, who stated that the attack allegedly took place on Sunday morning at 10 a.m. in the Runda neighborhood. In the post, he asked fans to be careful, as the artist’s phone was stolen during the attack, which could put him at risk of being exploited online.
“Viewers discretion. Very sad manze, Guys let’s pray for @jimmygaitofficial he was brutally attacked by thugs this morning Sunday 22nd 2026 at around 10am around Runda. His phone was taken away be aware of any exploitation because they took his phone… Now receiving treatment at St Teresa Thindigua,” the post read.
Images that have been circulating online of the gospel artist in a medical setting have further fueled online reactions, as fans flooded social media platforms with messages of hope and well-wishes for his speedy recovery.
