Lang’ata MP and media personality Felix Odiwuor, popularly known as Jalang’o, has penned a heartfelt message to Raila Odinga, expressing deep gratitude and admiration for the ODM leader’s mentorship and influence in his political journey.

In an emotional note shared online, Jalang’o referred to Raila as more than just a political figure calling him “a father, a mentor, and a constant.”

“When others saw a young man chasing politics, you saw potential. When the noise around me grew too loud, your voice of calm and clarity grounded me,” Jalang’o wrote.

The Lang’ata MP reflected on how Raila’s support was instrumental in shaping his political path, saying every step he has taken in service to his constituents bears Odinga’s fingerprints.

“You did not just support me; you walked with me. Your courage to speak truth to power and resilience in the face of injustice are lessons I live by,” he added.

Jalang’o credited Raila for nurturing him when he was still finding his voice in politics and for reminding him that leadership is not about power but purpose and people.

“You have carried the hopes of generations. You taught us that democracy is not a destination but a fight — one that must be fought with dignity, patience, and an unshakable love for Kenya,” he said.

The touching tribute comes amid growing speculation about Raila Odinga’s next political moves and his enduring influence on Kenya’s younger generation of leaders.

Jalang’o concluded his message with a note of gratitude and hope, vowing to carry Raila’s legacy forward in his service to the people of Lang’ata.

“As I serve the people of Lang’ata, I carry your legacy with me. I walk in your footsteps, with my head high and my heart open, knowing that I come from a lineage of giants,” he wrote.

Fans and followers have praised Jalang’o for acknowledging the mentorship that shaped his leadership journey.
