The Kenya Investment Authority (InvestKenya) and Kenya Airways have agreed to deepen their collaboration in a strategic move aimed at enhancing Kenya’s visibility as a preferred investment destination across global markets.
The partnership agenda was discussed during a meeting between Invest Kenya Chief Executive Officer John Mwendwa and Kenya Airways Acting Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Captain George Kamal.
The discussions centered on developing a joint strategic collaboration framework for the 2026/2027 financial year, with a focus on leveraging Kenya Airways’ extensive international route network to strengthen Kenya’s investment promotion efforts.
“The meeting focused on leveraging Kenya Airways’ extensive global network to strengthen Kenya’s investment brand through coordinated initiatives across key routes in Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Americas. The partnership aims to enhance investor outreach and elevate the country’s global visibility,”statement read.
Under the proposed partnership, the two institutions will coordinate investment promotion initiatives targeting key markets across Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas. The collaboration is expected to enhance investor outreach while positioning Kenya as a competitive destination for foreign direct investment.

Invest Kenya said the national carrier’s global connectivity provides a unique platform for showcasing the country’s investment opportunities and attracting investors from strategic international markets.
The partnership also seeks to elevate Kenya’s global investment brand by promoting the country’s competitive advantages, including its strategic location, skilled workforce, improving infrastructure and business-friendly environment.

According to Invest Kenya, the collaboration reflects the government’s commitment to using strategic partnerships to drive sustainable investment growth and strengthen Kenya’s position as a regional economic hub.

The initiative is expected to support the country’s broader economic agenda by unlocking new investment opportunities, fostering international business linkages and attracting capital into priority sectors of the economy.

Kenya Airways, which operates an extensive network connecting Africa with Europe, Asia and the Americas, is expected to play a key role in facilitating the country’s investment promotion campaigns through its global reach and international presence.
