Kenyan songstress, entrepreneur, and self-proclaimed president of single women Akothee is making headlines again for calling out fans who have badmouthed her fashion sense.
Taking to her Facebook page, the musician tackled the ongoing talks about her dressing, serving nothing short of a stern monologue that silenced all argument.
“I’ve spent a month taking you through my wardrobe so you can tell when to look out for what,” Akothee began, enlightening her cyber fashion police. “I pity you when you get worked up about stuff you can’t manage.”
In old Akothee fashion she laid down the law for anyone who’s brave enough to comment on what she wears. Unless you’re very specific in your criteria, your opinion isn’t welcome.
According to the boss lady, there are only six factors that determine what she wears:
Her body shape
Weather
The occasion or event
Means of transport
Her mood
Her budget
And for those worried about whether or not age is important? Akothee set them straight with one dismissive brush-off:
“I don’t dress my age, I dress my body,” she said.
And if that wasn’t enough, she delivered a definitive mic drop to all unwanted know-it-alls:
“If your name is not there, hush. NO ONE SHOUTS ORDERS AT ME AND TELLS ME WHEN TO DO IT. I DON’T TAKE ORDERS.”
