President William Ruto has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to eradicate corruption and ensure accountability and transparency in the utilization of public resources.

The President urged Kenyan leaders to uphold accountability in the utilization of public resources and to refrain from using their influence for personal gain.

“All resources made available to the government through the taxes of our citizens must be spent with transparency and accountability,” said President Ruto.

He was speaking during the Easter Sunday Service at Ntulele, Narok County.

The President added that in order to curb corruption, the Conflict of Interest law must be passed to ensure that those in power do not misuse their positions for personal benefit.

“Parliament should carefully consider the memorandum that I have sent to them. This will ensure that we stop conflict of interest that undermine the delivery and provision of government services in Kenya,” urged President Ruto.
