James Kimoi, the son of former Baringo Senator Gideon Moi, officially wedded his longtime partner, Ivy Chebet Meli, in a stunning ceremony held at the picturesque Ol Tukai Lodge in Amboseli National Park yesterday.

The exclusive event drew a host of high-profile guests, including former President Uhuru Kenyatta and Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, among other notable figures from Kenya’s political and social circles.

The couple, who celebrated their traditional marriage in September last year, are now officially husband and wife in what many described as a fairytale wedding set against the majestic backdrop of Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Proud father Gideon Moi shared his joy on social media, writing on X (formerly Twitter):
“My wife Zahra and I are proud as parents watching our son, James Kimoi, exchanging vows today with the love of his life, Ivy Meli, and making a life-long commitment to be a loving, supportive, present, and intentional husband.”

He warmly welcomed Ivy into the Moi family, adding:
