Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has officially launched the 2025 Jersey Design Competition, inviting creative designers to leave their mark on Kenya’s national football teams.
This is a unique opportunity for designers to contribute to the national team’s identity and global presence.
Participants are encouraged to draw inspiration from Kenya’s rich culture and heritage, incorporating national symbols and elements into their designs.
The primary colors, which should reflect Kenya’s national flag—Black, White, Red, and Green—must be central to the design, as these colors hold deep significance for the country.
The competition will run from Tuesday, April 1, 2025, to Tuesday, April 15, 2025. Late submissions will not be accepted.
Designers are allowed only one submission, and any attempt to canvass or make “confidential” submissions will result in automatic disqualification.
All designs must be original works created by the submitting candidate, with a declaration that the design has not been submitted to any other competition or entity.
Designs can be submitted as painted illustrations or digital renderings on a jersey template.
Designers must also provide a brief description of the significance of their design and how it connects to both football and the nation.
The competition is open to Kenyan citizens aged 18 to 35 years. An independent panel will review all submissions and select the top three designs.
The prizes are as follows: Winner: Sh150,000, Runner-up: Sh100,000 and 2nd Runner-up: Sh50,000.
While the winning designs will become the property of FKF, all other submissions will remain the intellectual property of the respective designers.
